Charles Merrick, C(k)P®, CRPS®, AIF®

Charles “Chip” Merrick is a member of RCM&D’s Retirement Services practice and works with a variety of retirement plan types. As part of the team he uses his vast knowledge and prior experience to provide in-depth advice and the highest level of service to his clients. As a Sales Executive, Chip provides investment and retirement plan consulting for 401(k), 403(b), DB and NQDC plans. He collaborates closely with his clients to offer independent and objective advice regarding their retirement plans. Chip also provides fiduciary guidance and protection related to investment monitoring, fee benchmarking, IPS enhancement, RFP searches and plan design.
Prior to joining RCM&D, Chip worked as a retirement plan consultant for more than 15 years, holding positions as a regional retirement director for Legg Mason, Citi Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley, and as a retirement plan consultant for Bolton Partners. In his previous roles, Chip honed his consultative approach and worked with plan sponsors on a variety of needs including provider search, plan benchmarking, investment analysis and asset allocation, fiduciary oversight, plan design, and regulatory updates.
Chip earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Washington College and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 and Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses along with both the C(k)P®, CRPS® and AIF® designations.
